Homework For Jesus

Today I was riding home from school, whatever last drop of energy I had left me. On top of that was a heap of homework to do when I got home. I got home and sat on my bed writing a list of all the homework I had to do. I remembered more and more things I had to get done and felt even more hopeless.

Then I remembered a bible verse. In Colossians 3:23 Paul says whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men. I'm not doing this homework for my teachers. I'm doing this homework for my Lord. I got to work. I flew through half of a set of problems due Friday with the rest of my homework. I got done two hours  early and decided to write this post.

I was a procrastinator. I was a professional at wasting time. I am so amazed because I know I couldn't have done all that by myself. It was only with God that I could brake that habit forever. I am moving on and not turning back. God showed me in a completely new way how much I desperately need Him. I have been hearing a lot lately how much someone can so if they set their mind to something. That's not true. Only with God can I be the best that I can be. God showed me a glimpse of what I can do. I am holding on to Him tighter now than ever before. I am completely dependent on my God. I wouldn't have it any other way.
