What Was and What Is
Everyday at lunch me and one of my friends pray before we start eating. Since I don't go to a Christian school this is not a normal thing to do. There are always kids looking at us from the corner of their eyes but they don't say anything or even acnowledge that we are doing it. My dad used to work for Youth For Christ and visit my school (long before I was even born) and he would have meetings with kids early in the morning. He said more than twenty kids would come every morning. That's more kids than any club at my school has. A lot has changed since then. Youth For Christ doesn't do that anymore and my dad is a financial advisor. I wish I could have seen him teach all those kids about God. How can something so accepted and even popular back then turn into tabboo today? I try everyday to follow God and live my life as a Christian to the fullest and encourage other people to do so too. Is it enough?

Youth for Christ is Bears for Christ now, and the only time I've seen more that 3 people there was when they had a "Doughnuts and Dodgeball" thing one morning. The next meeting, it was back to three people. (I'm not in it because I'm not open in the morning"
